Way Leads on to Way
Inspired by the landscape of Arronmore Island off Ireland’s west coast, this painting feels expansive and vibrant. Deep, dark blues and greens, expanses of neutral bluey-grey whites, and pops of purples and yellow give this large piece a feeling of movement and mystery. I was able to use of one of my favorite painting tools, the electric sander, to sand back bits of paint and collage to reveal exciting bits underneath. This one took me down a crazy path (pathway?) before I finished it!
